Profile
Dr. Satish Dasari has been with Midwest Interventional Spine Specialists since 2002. Additionally, he has also served as Medical Director of Pain Management at St. Margaret Mercy/Franciscan Health Center. He is board-certified in anesthesiology along with a subspecialty certification in Pain Management. Dr. Dasari is also certified by the American Board of Pain Medicine.
Dr. Dasari has been further recognized by the World Institute of Pain and awarded the title of “Fellow of Interventional Pain.” Notably, this distinction is conferred only to a select group of physicians after a rigorous testing process including the performance of interventional spine procedures.
Dr. Dasari is passionate about treating patients using the latest scientific and technological breakthroughs. Because pain is a complex condition and every patient is unique. Dr. Dasari believes in carefully listening to his patients to understand how pain affects daily life. Ultimately, his goal is to improve function through multimodal pain management techniques.
Hobbies/Special Interests
In his spare time, he enjoys photography and taking on new adventures. For example, Dr. Dasari and his wife recently climbed one of the tallest summits in the world, Mount Kilimanjaro. At the highest point, they were 19,341 feet above sea level. In addition, they have also explored Antarctica.
Professional Achievements
Dr. Dasari has been at the forefront of using the latest scientific and technological breakthroughs to treat pain. For instance, he implanted the first high-frequency spinal cord stimulator system in Northern Indiana. Additionally, he has lectured extensively on pain-related medical topics. Moreover, he has delivered medical education training for colleagues to provide Continuing Medical Education (CME) credit around the world. Most notably, he has taught CME-accredited courses in the United States, India, and Antarctica. Furthermore, he is one of the lead creators and lecturers for Managing Pain in the New Millennium – an annual continuing education lecture series (1999 to present). Dr. Dasari is also a frequent conference lecturer for the Indiana Workers’ Compensation Institute.
